Perhaps in 1961 Donald Harradine wasn't at the full height of his powers yet or maybe the club chose to "improve" his planning. In any event it seems hard to believe that Harradine would route a 9 holer such that hole 4 returns to the clubhouse - only on the wrong side of it, so the driving range has to be crossed to get to tee #5, which is right next to tee #1. Also, would Harradine design flat holes on terraces or would he use the undulations to maximise drama?

The Alpine scenery is of course very beautiful, although the trees take away some of the views. But there are no buildings or other unnatural distractions, in fact the road to the club is closed to non-golf traffic. So it's a nice place, but the golf leaves a bit to be desired. The soil is quite heavy and the greens just ok. Nevertheless, a great day can be had in the right weather, it's certainly not a boring course.
