Built in 1923 by Percy Dell, but the present course is a Harradine design. Robinson gets co-credit for his 1992 masterplan that is continually being realised by the club.

The feel of the place is very similar to Ascona nearby - elegance, class, old-style restraint, but a bit too straight-forward to evoke high emotions. Definitely not one of those dramatic and almost over the top Harradine rides.

The opportunity was there, the river Magliasina crosses the property and comes into play on 8 holes. But only on #2 and perhaps #18 does it really make the player think. On a positive note, the trees do not encroach and there is not much rough. Some nice vegetation as well, so it's definitely a good experience, but relies on atmosphere more than it should.
