A cosy little 27 hole complex, where the main loops are A + B, which come in with a par of 70. Loop C (holes 19 - 27) has a par of 34 and is less compelling. The site is rather small, so most holes aren't very long and some are quite close together, although safety seems to not be an issue.

The main selling point of the course is its location right in the middle of one of Germany's largest wine-growing areas. This makes for an attractive backdrop and the wine theme is carried throughout the round with the holes being named after the different grape varieties. There are also a number of apple trees and any fruit reachable from the course may be plucked.

The golf itself is fairly pleasant, although it must be said that six par 3s are not everyone's cup of tea. The routing is a bit of a criss-crossing hence and forth. For example, one part of the course is beyond a railway line and journey over there is made twice: on the front 9 to play three holes and on the back 9 to play two. There are no must-see holes here and a couple are rather mundane, but the greens are generally quite interesting. Plus, the garden/vineyard type of setting is really nice, so the course does provide a consistent experience beyond being just a bunch of holes.
